Academic Support and Resources

Undergraduate

Student Success Center

The RPI Student Success Center, located on the first floor of the Folsom Library, is the central hub for undergraduate academic support, offering tutoring, writing assistance, mentoring, and specialized workshops. It helps students thrive through personalized coaching, academic resources, and, for first-year students, dedicated support.

School of Engineering Advising Hub

During your first year, the School of Engineering Advising Hub is your go-to resource for academic advising. Hub Advisors can address academic questions for all engineering majors regarding course requirements, the Arch program, Registrar protocol, and more. Appointments and drop-in hours are offered.

Center for Career and Professional Development

The Center for Career and Professional Development (CCPD) helps RPI students discover career paths, develop professional skills, and prepare for success in a global, technology-driven world.

Undergraduate Research Program (URP)

The Undergraduate Research Program (URP) helps students identify a research project during the academic year. Undergraduate students may pursue research for either academic credit or as a paid URP assistant working in the labs of world-leading RPI faculty researchers.

Graduate

Office of Graduate Education

The Office of Graduate Education (OGE) supports graduate students throughout their experience at RPI. OGE works with departments, advisors, and campus partners to help students navigate academic requirements, funding and status changes, and key milestones from enrollment to graduation. The office also provides guidance on competitive fellowships and access to confidential, impartial support through the graduate ombuds when concerns arise.
