Frank Peters, a current PhD student in Dr. Leo Wan's lab, was selected for the 2026 Regeneron Prize for Creative Innovation in the graduate category. Frank was awarded $25,000 for his dream project proposal, involving the use of "lithographic optogenetics to spatially specify cell types during 3D-printing of vascular organoids, enabling the three-dimensional study of fully intact in vitro vascular networks". In addition, an extra $5,000 was awarded to help support future seminar series. Congratulations Frank!
