The BME Department held the annual graduate student symposium yesterday. 10 research talks and 22 posters were presented by graduate students during this half-day event. The quality of the talks and posters was excellent and the competition for awards was fierce. In the end the following presenters received awards for their work:

2nd Place (tie): Troy Vargason / Alexis Ziemba
Poster presentations:
1st Place: Lars Gjesteby
2nd Place: Ahmad Abu-Hakmeh
3rd place: Alagu Chidambaram / Amanda Chin / Kathryn Hollowood
