The Rensselaer Board of Trustees has approved Ryan Gilbert's promotion to the rank of Professor.
Ryan Gilbert joined the Rensselaer faculty in 2010 as an assistant professor and he was promoted to associate professor in 2013. In 2012, Dr. Gilbert received the Faculty Early Career Development Award (CAREER) from the National Science Foundation. Dr. Gilbert serves as an associate editor of the journal Cells, Tissues, and Organs, and chairs a Department of Veterans Affairs Panel, Rehabilitation and Research and Development-Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Gilbert's laboratory is focused on developing biomaterials for central nervous system applications.
