Pre-Med BMED senior Michelle Nutescu will be giving a first author, platform presentation on her research at the American Academy of Pediatrics 2024 National Conference.
Michelle’s presentation is titled "Different Roads Traveled: Disparities in the Preoperative Timeline Result in Delays to Pediatric Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction," and she will be presenting her work on September 28th as part of the Section of Orthopedics Program. This work is a result of Michelle’s summer internship research conducted as a Katz & Manne Research Scholar in the Division of Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago under the mentorship of attending orthopedic surgeon Dr. Niraj Patel.
Michelle is a D1 athlete on the RPI Women’s Ice Hockey team and Undergraduate Researcher in the Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies under Dr. Deepak Vashishth.
