The Department of Biomedical Engineering offers two Master’s degree options tailored to students’ academic and professional goals. The Master of Science (M.S.) includes a research thesis and is recommended for students with a strong interest in research or those considering further graduate study. The Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) is a non-thesis degree designed primarily for students planning to enter professional practice.

- 21 cr. coursework + 9 cr. Master's Thesis
- Advanced Mathematics/Statistics (3-4 cr.)
- Advanced Life Science (3-4 cr.)
- BMED Core (9+ cr.)
- Technical Electives (6+ cr.)
- Master's Thesis (9 cr.)
- 1-2 years to complete
Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) Requirements
- 30 cr. coursework
